Vice President, Business Development
The position of Vice President, Business Development will report to the President and provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the overall sales growth of the company. This position requires outstanding understanding of client business issues, relevant solutions, client service, dedication to company goals, and passion for quality.
Core objectives of the position include:
- Responsible for $1.5 – $2.0 million in revenue emerging from Global 2000 companies in any one of five sectors (Consumer durables, consumer packaged goods, business-to-business, life sciences, or services (such as retail, energy, financial institutions, etc.)
- Develop an advisory position within key clients and be able to independently recommend custom research methodologies (both OS proprietary and other)
- Capable of writing winning proposals independently (including defining sample size, understanding of the client market place, key deliverables, costs, and timing)
- Successfully work with the project delivery and management team to design, manage, and execute, qualitative and quantitative research projects
- Ability to think strategically, and to learn innovative concepts and methodologies
- Ability to write reports (headlines, summary or conclusions) with no grammatical errors or data interpretation errors

- Positive, pro-active, problem solving attitude
- Attention to detail, able to manage responsibilities with minimum of direction
- Exceptional communication (both written and oral) and decision-making skills
- Degree in business (BS, MBA, MMR) in business management, or other applicable focus
- At least five years experience in client engagement/business development positions
- Marketing and/or Marketing Research experience is desirable
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Powerpoint and Outlook) is required. Experience with sales automation tools like salesforce.com is beneficial.

Compensation: Base salary, bonus, profit sharing, commissions for excess of goal
